First and foremost: I hope the surgery goes/went well.

Second… that gas will escape in some interesting ways.

tl;dr

I have had the gas more than once. All four of my scope based knee surgeries required it. My body (yes it is wierd, thank you) decided the best way to get rid of the gas was to send it out the little incisions from the scopes. Made for some interesting scars.

I also have had gas pushed in to my abdomen… during my hysterectomy. Getting rid of that over the next couple of days was no fun. I didn’t have anything solid in my system to push the gas through my intestines, so it just kind of oozed out instead of farting out. Here’s hoping Deb heals fast!
