The community here keeps me going. Even when the words won’t come, writers like you remind me that it is ok to just be me. I think you are right — Our childhoods were similar, our parents parented similarly. We have learned to move past that (and will keep learning), because we see what was so totally wrong in what happened to us.

I am proud to call you friend, Dennett. You are one of the voices that keeps me going. For me, that list is way too long to list — which is, I think, a very good thing. The more of us that make Medium’s poetry corner great, the more of us that can find support and love for ourselves and for the world.
