These digital reminders are both good and bad for me.

There are people I know are gone; people for whom the annual reminder brings only happy memories.

Then there are the people gone too suddenly. Members of my families of blood and of choice. These annual reminders I am still trying to see as happy memories. I’m not there yet, but someday.
