This is one of the hardest things for me.

Self care doesn’t come naturally for me. I thought it did for everyone else until a few months ago. I am slowly learning that self care isn’t selfish. It is a hard lesson to learn.

I hope this wonderful piece helps others see what I saw out of it: Self care can be a struggle, but it is a struggle well worth the energy and time.
