YOur piece moved me to tears. For you, for your daughter, for the battles you have fought on her behalf and the ones you will fight. Please believe me when I say I know your fears and your pain. I raised one with serious mental health issues.

He came to us at five and a half. He is bipolar, ADD, and so much more. He is now 32. I can only hope that his story gives you hope. He disrupted out of our house as an early teen.

He is doing better now. He has two sons. He has learned how to control his illness. They taught him that. Seeing what his behaviors were doing to them helped him see what had happened to him.

I know not all stories turn like ours did. I still deal with the scars from his time with us. But that is my battle, not his.

I hope you find peace in knowing that the gifts you give her every day of her life will give her ways to cope with her disease. Your love is the greatest gift she will ever have.
